We are on a mission to improve people’s mental and physical well being by guiding them through their journey of recovery from hardship, creating and sustaining healthy habits and living a more meaningful life.
Most of the world’s religions agree that suffering, rather than happiness, is the norm for human beings. At the very least, most people experience some kind of hardship and they would benefit from having better habits, improving their discipline and productivity, strengthening their mental and physical fitness and developing skills to cope with distress.
Our purpose is to create a digital assistant for the people going through rough times but also for the ones who want to constantly exceed their limitations. Improving their resilience and strengthening their mental and physical health are the foundation of our approach. The solution that we call Daily Squire has to be versatile enough to be used by people who are depressed and need help with the fundamentals, but also by professional athletes or entrepreneurs.
Rome was not built in a day, and similarly, becoming a better version of ourselves demands a lot of time and dedication. Daily Squire is a mobile app that acts as a smart digital assistant and users will initially choose one of three paths: path of recovery, path of discipline, path of the warrior. They will answer questions, get challenges, cultivate predefined habits and have the ability to customize their experience. The assistant – called the Squire - will be engineered to feel as human as possible so that the user remains engaged on the chosen path. The Squire will also take into account all the input from the user across time, through machine learning, combined with the latest findings in fields such as behavioral psychology, cognitive behavioral therapy, medicine or nutrition. It will also use elements from certain traditions that are stripped of their religious connotations, as well as elements of stoic philosophy and teachings from the lives of great historical figures.
WHO IS INVOLVED?
The founder of Daily Squire, Felix-Sebastian Cosma, is a programmer with years of experience in building digital solutions for clients such as banks, medical services or car manufacturers. Felix is also one of the Co-Founders and the CTO of We Make Change, a not for profit organization aimed at giving everybody, everywhere, the tools they need to help make the changes they want to see in the world.
