PURPOSE

Agricultural crowdfunding that connects underserved Base of the Pyramid smallholder farmers with lenders around the world to alleviate poverty.

PROBLEM

There are an estimated 500 million smallholder farming households globally, (representing 2 billion people) which includes the largest proportion of the world's poor, living on less than $2 a day.

The majority are financially underserved smallholder farmers who cannot reconcile their economic realities with the enormous potentials in their local communities. These groups depend on various degrees of subsistence agricultural production for their livelihoods.

Smallholder Farmers are the new global food frontiers. One-third of the world’s 7.3 billion people are made up of smallholder farmers and their families who produce nearly 70 percent of all food consumed worldwide on 60 percent of the planet’s arable land.

One-third of the world’s population holds the key for the rest of us.

SOLUTION

Growsel provides an agricultural crowdfunding platform that connects underserved Base of the Pyramid smallholder farmers across developing economies with lenders around the world, to alleviate poverty through mobile and local field partners at 0% interest.
