We Make Change enables you to give your professional skills to support the causes you care about. You can do this by:

1. Sign up: Become a ChangeMaker to identify the causes you care about, skills you have, and time you can give.

2. Join projects: Apply to join projects to volunteer your skills online to support the causes they care about.

3. Get your company involved: Volunteer online with your colleagues through our Change Day online volunteering events: https://www.wemakechange.org/companies

This depends on the project that you apply to join. Each impact startup indicates on their project page the estimated amount of time. In most cases this is a few hours per week, but can also a one-off opportunity. Ultimately, you can make this decision with the impact startup.

You can join as many as you like! Just be wary about how much time you can actually give - sometimes the idea of supporting multiple projects works well in theory but can be difficult to maintain in practice.

All of our volunteering roles are remote (therefore online).

But if you happen to be in the same place as a startup you volunteer with, of course you can meet!

This depends on the project that you apply to join. Each impact startup indicates on their project page a list of skills they need and short descriptions of the requirements of the role. This gives you an understanding of what level of expertise is needed. There are opportunities for people at university level, young professionals and more experienced professionals. What is common is that everyone gets the opportunity to use their skills to support causes they care about.

We offer impact opportunities that are different. It’s skilled, remote and with startups. This means that you get the opportunity to use your actual skills from your educational and/or professional life from wherever you are, supporting an impact startup anywhere in the world. Lastly, as you get to work with impact startups, you can really see the impact that you are making and you have the opportunity to really have an influence on the growth. Moreover, it is a great opportunity to get experience working in an innovative startup environment while improving your CV to reach your career goals.

Yes, volunteering as an individual is free! That is because we want to make it as accessible as possible for people to make the change they want to see.
