Yellow vs. Blue is on a mission to spread awareness about mental health issues and support individuals facing them. They support youth globally with mental health issues, like depression and anxiety. They spread self awareness and provide advice about mental health struggles, providing habits and new ways to deal with mental health problems and gain mindfulness, supporting youth one to one online to coach them πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬

HOW WE MAKE CHANGE

Yellow vs. Blue were looking for volunteers to help them with Design, Marketing, Writing and Project Management in order to address their Sustainable Development Goal of Good Health & Well-being (SDG 3)

We connected them with skilled ChangeMakers. Here’s how they have helped πŸ™Œ

β€œI WORK WITH AN AWESOME, SELF-MOTIVATED TEAM FROM DIFFERENT BACKGROUNDS AND NATIONALITIES WHICH HAS ENRICHED MY NETWORK AS WELL”

TOQA EL-DEEB πŸ‡ͺπŸ‡¬

β€˜My name is Toqa and I am from Cairo. I am currently studying Economics at Cairo University while working as a part-time English coach. At Yellow vs. Blue I am responsible for supervising the whole project. I have a holistic view of how to achieve the objectives of each of the campaigns we do given the resources at hand.

I plan the tasks that need to be done, assign those tasks and set deadlines. I am also responsible of keeping track of the progress being done and filing and documenting all the tasks submitted in addition to the social media posts; the dates on which they were posted, the channels and who did the copywriting and design. Finally, I prepare a weekly report, recording the performance of each team member.

The experience has been great so far. I work with an awesome, self-motivated team from different backgrounds and nationalities which has enriched my network as well. I learned how to deal with these differences. I also learned how to be more organized and pay more attention to details at the same time. I learned how to coordinate between the different team players and follow up with them. I learned how to write reports and give feedback on other people's work.’

β€˜My name is Ahmed, I'm 23, and I'm from Alexandria. I study mechanical engineering at Alexandria University, I work as a freelancing artist, writer and I teach English as a part time job. I'm also a theatre actor and singer. I like learning languages and getting to know people from different cultures.

Yellow vs. Blue wants to stand by the people who suffer from mental health issues. In my volunteering role, I have been writing articles and short stories to inspire our target audience. I also helped by sharing various ideas.

The experience has been nice! The project manager and other volunteers have been so nice, encouraging and ambitious. It’s been a pleasure being able to think through and create valuable content that we could share. Working hard to fulfil the team’s goals has been rewarding!’
