Volunteering for Health & Well-being
We created Change Days as online volunteering events to enable ChangeMakers to volunteer their skills and Social Enterprises to get the skills they need in a fun, meaningful and effective way in just a day.
Our Health & Well-being Change Day brought together 15 ChangeMakers with skills in Design, Marketing, Research and Writing to support 4 of our Social Enterprise Members.
THE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
AH Innovations allow you to interconnect your travel insurance with your health records through our Digital Medical Certificate, ensuring you receive the most appropriate treatment at the right time while abroad 🇬🇧
Black Health Matters UK who exist to address the disparities in health outcomes for black people in the UK 🇬🇧
Blink International who use technology to collect and publicize data which inspires community-led organizing across Sub-Saharan Africa 🇰🇪
Mindwalk Yoga who aim to empower individuals to grow self awareness and better self-manage their mental health through tailored classes and practice-at-home videos 🇬🇧
WHAT HAPPENED
Ahead of the day, the ChangeMakers were matched with a Social Enterprise based on the causes they care about and the skills the Social Enterprises needed.
On the day, they got to work! During the 5 hour session, the ChangeMakers worked in teams to support the Social Enterprises with what they needed, including UI/UX design, graphic design, marketing strategy, copywriting and a whole lot more!
At the end of the day, the ChangeMakers and Social Enterprises presented their work together, including the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to grow the impact of the Social Enterprise.
