How CSGers supercharged impact startups during their Environment Change Days of 2023

To mark Earth Day, CSG brought together 33 CSGers from across the world to volunteer their skills remotely and supercharge eight impact startups addressing environmental challenges over two Environmental Change Days.

The two Change Day’s gave CSGers the opportunity to volunteer their skills to address challenges related to the environment.

The Impact Startups

The impact startups they supported were:

Agromyx, who tackles post-harvest food loss and waste by processing their fresh produce into powder that can last more than a year 🇬🇭

Bridgeway Power, who assists homeowners in going solar and reducing their electricity consumption 🇮🇳

Food Rescuers, who reduces food waste from food places whilst also helping to alleviate food poverty 🇬🇧

It’s Our Planet Too, who inspires children to love and care for the environment and empower them to make a difference 🇬🇧

KatexPower, who provides plug and play solar home systems to electrify households and solve basic household energy needs 🇳🇬

Made in the City Of., who makes new designer products from trash plastic lids 🇦🇺

NPB Design Studio, who is a design and drafting firm, designing places that inspire, heal and empower the community using social impact design 🇺🇸

Sharing Seeds, who empowers local youth and women by engaging them in sustainable cash crops farming 🇳🇵

SIRA Tech, who uses a methodology that mimics Mother Nature and cleans water without the use of chemicals or neutralizers 🇲🇽

What Happened?

Ahead of the day, CSGers were matched with an impact startup based on the skills that the impact startups needed.

On the day, they got to work! During the four-hour session, CSGers worked to support the impact startups with the skills and experience they needed, including business development, marketing, UX design, web development and a whole lot more!

At the end of the day, CSGers and impact startups reflected on the session and shared the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to grow the influence of the impact startups.
