How PA Consulting employees volunteered with social enterprises building sustainable solutions to environmental challenges

The PA Consulting Sustainability Change Days brought together more than 20 PA Consulting employees to volunteer their skills to supercharge 7 social enterprises addressing environmental challenges across the world.

The Change Day gave their employees the opportunity to volunteer their skills to support sustainable solutions to environmental challenges

The Social Enterprises

The social enterprises they supported were:

Easy Clean Water who help remote communities to have safe water access by providing a self-sustainable water purification system that works with a social financial model 🇻🇪

Finding Roots who make cities green again by delivering beautiful plants and flowers, one MicroGarden subscription at a time 🇬🇧

Open Hydro who accurately track and manage emissions from water bodies 🇬🇧

Pip and Henry who are a new sustainable footwear brand for kids 🇬🇧

Protectyl who partner with landowners and small-scale farmers to grow micro-forests 🇺🇬

Repowering London who develop renewable energy projects to build resilient, skilled communities and lead London to a low-carbon future 🇬🇧

Scrapp who educate consumers on what is recyclable or not in their community with a quick barcode scan on the product 🇺🇸

What Happened

Ahead of the day, the PA Consulting employees were matched with a social enterprise based on the skills the social enterprises needed.

On the day, they got to work! During the 4 hour session, the PA Consulting employees worked to support the social enterprises with what they needed, including business development, marketing, operations and a whole lot more!

At the end of the day, the PA Consulting employees and social enterprises reflected on the session and shared the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to grow the impact of the social enterprises.
