PA Consulting Employees Use Professional Skills To Support Sustainability

How PA Consulting employees volunteered with social enterprises building sustainable solutions to environmental challenges

The PA Consulting Sustainability Change Day brought together more than 15 PA Consulting employees to volunteer their skills to supercharge 3 social enterprises addressing environmental challenges across the world.

Why Change Days?

Since the beginning of 2022, PA Consulting has been embracing the future of employee volunteering through Change Days. Over just four hours, PA Consulting employees are able to share their knowledge and skills with social enterprises to help drive social change. The high value of PA Consulting employees’ skills means that the participating social enterprises can scale their work effectively and make faster progress to supercharge their impact.

This past Change Day gave their employees the opportunity to volunteer their skills to support sustainable solutions to environmental challenges.

The Social Enterprises

The social enterprises they supported were:

Circular Regions who bridge bottom-up and top-down Circular Economy with data-driven solutions to develop decision making tools for policy makers and practical accessible tools and resources πŸ‡³πŸ‡΄

Merch.eco who do detailed ethical research on clothing suppliers, and use that to shift groups that buy merch (customised clothing) to use a more ethical supplier πŸ‡¬πŸ‡§

Village Solar who offer a reliable and sustainable source of electricity to rural communities through our solar home systems πŸ‡²πŸ‡Ό

What Happened

Ahead of the day, the PA Consulting employees were matched with a social enterprise based on the skills the social enterprises needed.

On the day, they got to work! During the 4 hour session, the PA Consulting employees worked to support the social enterprises with what they needed, including business development, marketing, operations and a whole lot more!

At the end of the day, the PA Consulting employees and social enterprises reflected on the session and shared the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to grow the impact of the social enterprises.
