How CSGers supercharged impact startups during their India Change Day

The CSG Change Day for India brought together 13 CSGers from across India to volunteer their skills and supercharge three impact startups supporting women’s empowerment and the environment.

Using Change Days to Connect Global Teams

As a global company with more than 5,000 employees in over 20 countries, CSG wanted to use this Change Day to empower its teams in India to address challenges related to education and women’s empowerment in their country. Through our ongoing partnership, CSGers volunteered their skills and helped three impact startups with everything from business development to building social media strategies.

As online volunteering events, Change Days are an effective way to engage employees remotely and bring together teams in an inclusive and engaging way while creating a real impact.

The Impact Startups

The impact startups they supported were:

Ayang Trust who bridge developmental gaps in Assam by co-creating solutions in primary school education and empowering women artisans through economic independence 🇮🇳.

Gram Vikas Trust who aim to secure integrated development through people’s participation 🇮🇳.

URJA Trust who work with marginalised groups of women and trans persons, and survivors of gender-based violence who have been rendered homeless. 🇮🇳

What Happened

Ahead of the day, CSGers were matched with an impact startup based on their skills and what the impact startups needed.

On the day, they got to work! During the four-hour session, CSGers worked to support the impact startups with business development, marketing, UX design, web development and a whole lot more!

At the end of the day, CSGers and the impact startups reflected on the session and shared the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to grow the influence of the impact startups.
