A Day Dedicated to Protecting our Planet
We created Change Days as online volunteering events to enable ChangeMakers to volunteer their skills when they can, while Social Enterprises get the support of a team with the skills they need to grow their impact.
Our Environment Change Day was our first ever! It brought together 20 ChangeMakers with Marketing and Design skills to support three of our Social Enterprise Members. Working in teams, they were tasked with developing a social media campaign in just four hours to raise awareness of their chosen Social Enterprise.
THE SOCIAL ENTERPRISES
Ence is a Norwegian e-commerce platform where we collect the most ethical and sustainable products for you to buy 🇳🇴
Extincts mobilise the next generation of animal protectors. Their digital collectibles game teaches kids about endangered animals and their habitats 🇬🇧
Last Forest support indigenous communities in India by providing them with a platform to sell organic, fair trade and indigenous products 🇮🇳
WHAT HAPPENED
Ahead of the day, the ChangeMakers were matched with the Social Enterprise based on the causes they care about and the skills the Social Enterprises needed.
On the day, they got to work! During the 4 hour session, the ChangeMakers worked in teams to create their social media campaigns. They developed creative ideas, content calendars, and post designs.
At the end of the day, the ChangeMakers and Social Enterprises presented their work together, including the steps they would take beyond the Change Day to make the campaign a reality.
