How Kinetic consultants volunteered to supercharge startups through year-long programme 🌎
Kinetic Consulting is a leading strategic consulting group. Working globally from their offices in Europe and the Americas, their team of senior business leaders support clients all over the world. Their expertise ranges from strategy development to organisational transformation and capacity building.
The Kinetic Change Programme 2022 brought together 14 Kinetic consultants to volunteer remotely to support 4 impact startups to grow their impact over a year.
The Social Enterprises
The Social Enterprises they support are:
era92 Creative who help disadvantaged youth in Africa develop skills in art, design and technology 🇺🇬
Finuprise who have created an app to make impact investing the new norm 🇩🇰
Metta Space who are a Deep Tech, B2B platform on a mission to eradicate sexual harassment from the workplace 🇪🇸
Pixza who are an empowerment platform disguised as a pizzeria that seeks to achieve a sustainable inclusion of people in a social abandonment profile 🇲🇽
The Programme
Ahead of the programme, the Kinetic consultants were matched with impact startups based on the causes they care about and the skills the impact startups needed.
Change Day
The programme kicked off in February with a Change Day. During the 4 hour session, the Kinetic consultants worked with their matched impact startup to understand their challenges and create an action plan of support for the rest of the programme. The support would include providing strategic guidance on everything from business development to sales, finance, leadership and more. At the end of the Change Day, the Kinetic consultants and impact startups agreed how they would work together beyond the day.
Quarterly Check-Ins
We Make Change hosted quarterly check-ins for the teams to provide updates on their progress and agree next steps for their next three months working together.
Celebration Day
The programme concluded with a Celebration Day in November, where the impact startups presented their progress during the programme, as well as their plans going forward into 2023. The Kinetic consultants shared reflections on what they had gained from their experience volunteering with their impact startups during the programme.
