How do you create change? Whether it’s volunteering your skills, being an activist, or starting your own Social Enterprise, the journey is different for everyone. But whatever your path, there are some key lessons that can help you along the way.

We Make Change Canada & We Make Change USA hosted a panel discussion with 3 phenomenal speakers who are activists, mental health advocates, and Social Entrepreneurs who are paving the way for sustainability, equality, and social entrepreneurship:

  • 🇪🇬🇺🇸 Jana Amin an Egyptian-American high school senior and rising freshman at Havard College. She is an advocate for girls' education and women in Islam. Jana was recognized as one of Arab-America’s 20 Under 20 and one of The Conversationalist’s awardees in Education.

  • 🇳🇬🇨🇦 Nwamaka Agbakoba (Amaka) is a Nigerian born Canadian fashion entrepreneur and mother to a lovely 8-year-old son. She is the CEO & founder of MKCurvy, A plus-size women's clothing line focused on self-love, cultural representation, and women empowerment.

  • 🇨🇦 Anya Bhopa is a Canadian youth mental health advocate and co-founder and director of The Canadian Courage Project, that strives to support homeless youth with animal companions across Ontario, and promote mental well-being.
